About Jody

Originally hailing from the rugged beauty of Interior Alaska, I now call the stunning landscapes of Western Colorado home, where I live with my wonderful husband and our furkid. I’ve been on this yoga journey since 2002, teaching everything from private sessions to group classes and workshops. Along the way, I've also dabbled in Yoga business coaching and crafted teacher training curriculums, continuing education programs, workbooks and instructional manuals

One of my early students, after taking several of my classes, told me she could finally take care of her feet and tie her shoes again—talk about a rewarding moment! That’s when I knew yoga was my calling.

My mission is to make yoga accessible to everyone, no matter their ability. I take a keen interest in offering asana variations and support to help all my students feel empowered. And, of course, I never stop learning—I'm constantly diving into new studies and training to keep my practice fresh and inspired.

 Reviews

"Jody is a wonderful teacher.

In tune, methodical, and compassionate. As someone who has practiced Yoga off and on for 2 years, I was amazed to glean so many body insights from Jody’s sessions. As someone with health issues and some injuries, I learned through Jody that yoga is really for Every Body. Her sessions left me feeling more balanced in energy, strength, and stability."

"A good friend of mine died in Feb, and I wanted a way to be kind to my body and attend to my feelings in a supportive, gentle way. I also had not been in a yoga class for years and wanted to find one that wasn't too hard, and where I felt comfortable coming "just as I am".

I have enjoyed feeling stronger and more supple. I do a little bit of yoga a couple times a week at home, but it was nice to be with several other people in a class. It was nice to laugh and breathe and move together!

Jody is a wonderful instructor and just what I was looking for. She's calm, fun, supportive, and offered lots of variations for any of the yoga postures. I immediately felt at ease, and look forward to taking another class."
