The Perfect Place for Peaceful, Serene, and Contemplative Retreats


Nestled among the south-facing slopes of the majestic Grand Mesa is Stone Forest. At the core of this unique sixty-acre facility, is the geodesic dome gathering hall with a kitchen and a window wall where outdoors and indoors merge to create an extraordinary setting.

Retreat visitors can relax and enjoy the 360 degree vistas, the intimate moss rock and juniper forest, and the spa-quality bathhouse and steam room.  Stone Forest provides comfortable camping in dorm-style platform tents.

Our sympathetic nervous system responses often keep us trapped in past traumas, but with Yoga, joyful movement, breathwork and self-awareness, we will discover new ways to break free.

Meet Ruth

Retreat Assistant

Ruth has a deep passion for the outdoors and loves exploring the scenic beauty of the Western Slope. Whether hiking the variety of trails, taking in the panoramic views, or simply enjoying the fresh mountain air, she finds solace and inspiration in nature. Her adventurous spirit drives her to discover new paths and hidden gems in the region.

Ruth is also a yoga practitioner and graduate of the 200-hour Foundations Yoga Training program. She believes that yoga provides a sacred space for self-discovery, allowing her to delve deeper into understanding who she truly is. Through her practice, she has found a sense of inner peace and balance that enriches her life.

She lives in the charming town of Cedaredge with her family, where she cherishes the tranquility of her surroundings.

Delores, born and raised in the beautiful state of Colorado, proudly calls Delta her home. Her journey began in the bustling culinary world of Las Vegas, where she honed her skills as a chef and developed a passion for special events and food presentation. This experience not only refined her culinary talents but also instilled in her a meticulous attention to detail and a love for creating memorable experiences.

After several successful years in the culinary industry, Delores returned to Delta and embarked on a new adventure. She channeled her dedication and entrepreneurial spirit into building her own residential and commercial cleaning business. For the past 30 years, Delores has owned and operated this successful venture, providing top-notch cleaning services to her community. With a team of four dedicated employees, she has established a reputation for excellence, reliability, and outstanding customer service.

Retreat Leader

Jody originally hails from the rugged beauty of Interior Alaska, but now calls the stunning landscapes of Western Colorado home. She lives here with her husband and beloved pet and has been on her yoga-teaching journey since 2002.

Driven by a deep-rooted mission to help others, she loves to create classes and events where people can find healing, support, and personal growth. 

While her professional journey has been rewarding, she also deeply cherishes the beauty of a quiet life. Living in harmony with nature brings her peace, and she finds joy in the simple pleasures of daily living, from morning meditations to serene walks on the earth.
